Valeriy Kagounkin

*Siberian artist, Valeriy Kagounkin, was accepted to art school for children at the age of 9.

*He studied at Krasnoyarsk Junior Art Academy in Siberia where he learned the basics of realistic painting and later graduated with honors.

*After a period of difficult entrance exams, in which he competed for only 15 available spots, Valeriy was accepted to Moscow Art Academy of V. Surikov in 1982.

*After graduating from the Moscow Art Academy, he returned to Krasnoyarsk and taught art as a professor at the Junior Art College.

*Valeriy is a member of the Russian Union of Artists, the International Artist Assoc, and is a permanent member of the Russian Art Academy, established in 1775.

Awards

*He has been awarded Silver Medal #193 from the United Nations for his cultural contributions to the art world.

*He has been awarded two Big Gold Medals from the Russian Art Academy.

*Phippen Family Award at 2015 Phippen Museum Show & Sale.

Dave Pirtle, began his framing career in 1991 at Eagle Valley Frames in Reno, Nevada.  In 2002, he bought the business and built it into the successful enterprise it is today, renaming it "Eagle Framing & Art Gallery."
